Once, Barsana & surrounding villages, faced such a severe drought, that there was a horrendous scarcity of  food in that area. Very few people gave madhukari (food given as charity) to Sadhus & Mahatmas.A sadhu, named, Baba Jagannath was very hesitant to go to houses & ask for madhukari.He began to eat madhukari,that he himself saved for Vaishnavas.At last, unwillingly,he decided to leave Barsana.He was weeping incessently,while,he  packed his blanket & the few utencils he had.

Shri Radhaji was watching all this.When Baba came out of his hut,Shri Radhaji asked,"Baba,where are you going?"Baba replied, "Better,I should  go somewhere else.Here no one is ready to give madhukari.All of us are slaves of this stomach."

Brijbala(Shri Radhaji) said, "Why don't you go to my home?Everyday, my mother saves some madhukari for you.Baba kept his luggage back & went to Radhaji's home.Radhaji's father told him to come back later, as there was no madhukari at home.Baba told, that, Radhaji  herself had  sent him, for madhukari, that had been kept in the recess, by her  mother. Everyone was surprised,as, for many days Radhaji, had been at her in- laws' home. How could she come to Barsana & tell Baba about the madhukari !

But when they looked in the recess,they found many chapattis, that had never been kept by them.They were astonished.

A man said , "Baba "please, do come here everyday, to take your share of madhukari from this house." In this way, Shri Radhaji did not allow  Baba, to leave Barsana.Shri Radhaji is so gracious that she can never see anyone in distress. 

"Darbar me Radha Rani ke, Dukh-Dard mitay jate hain.

Duniaya ke sataye log, Yahan seene se lagaye jate hain."
